Arcadis announces key wins in the UK healthcare sector

Three significant hospital projects, in Yorkshire, Cornwall and Merseyside, to be supported by Arcadis.

Arcadis has been appointed to work on three significant healthcare projects across the United Kingdom. The projects include the Airedale New Hospital Programme in West Yorkshire, the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust’s New Hospital Programme, and the proposed 100,000 square foot expansion at Aintree Hospital.

Airedale New Hospital Programme – Arcadis has been selected as trust cost advisor in the £1.5bn Airedale New Hospital Redevelopment Programme, a significant scheme to deliver a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility in West Yorkshire. This appointment will see Arcadis support the production of the business case, working in collaboration with a number of delivery partners. The new facility will replace the existing reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete hospital and provide a modern, safe and efficient healthcare environment, improving patient outcomes and experiences.

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust – Arcadis has also been selected as cost managers for the new women’s and children’s hospital project in Cornwall as part of the government’s New Hospital Programme. The significant investment will deliver over 20,000m² of modern hospital space, designed to provide state-of-the-art digitally enabled facilities and world-class care for the 590,000 residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly it serves. Aintree University Hospital Expansion – Arcadis led the design on part of the proposed 100,000 square foot expansion at Aintree University Hospital in Fazakerley, a part of NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. Arcadis is working in partnership with IHP, WSP, Appletons, AJP, Hoare Lea, GRM, Eddisons and Iteriad on this programme.
